Impacts of climate change on the choice of transport mode for local trips are estimated from data for the city of Bergen in Norway. By means of a climate scenario for other main cities, the impacts for Norway are assessed under the assumption that people in these cities respond similarly to the people of Bergen. The scenario leads to an increase in public transport and in walking and bicycling, while the use of private transport decreases. The total impacts are small, but may be of significance in certain places. The study also shows that national consequences of climate change cannot be properly estimated by aggregating local-level impacts.nb_NO
